Pawsitive Tails School for
A. No charge for the consultation. We come to your home when it's convenient for you while me meet and greet both you and your pets. We will ask about your pets routine and any likes and or dislikes they may have as well as any other pertinent information you would have us know. We then obtain your veterinarian info and vet release form as well as filling out any necessary paperwork. We gather 2 sets of keys, one for the sitter/walker and the other is kept on file in our office safe in case of emergency. We will also need a current Rabies vaccine certificate on file.
A. We accept credit card, check or cash. Payment is due at the time services are rendered. For example, if you are scheduled for daily walks Monday-Friday, payment is due for that week on Monday morning and can be left for the sitter/walker.
A. No problem, just give us a call and we will make sure your pets are safe and well cared for. During any vacation stay, we do ask that you notify the sitter as soon as you arrive home so they can be sure your pets are okay. If we do not hear from you, there will be a charge for continued service until we hear that you are home.
A. Absolutely. The first key is always with the sitter while in use, when the job is completed for the day it is placed in our safe until it is needed again. The keys are coded and have no other information that would link them to you. In the unlikely event that your key is lost, our business liability insurance will cover a locksmith coming to your home and installing new locks and keys.
A. There is a $10 extra charge per service on all major holidays including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day.
A. There is much less stress on your pet in their own home. Some pets don't sleep or even eat while away from the home without you.
Your pet is not exposed to illnesses or parasites from other animals.
Sitters give individualized attention and make it a point to know exactly what the routine is for the specific pets they are sitting. Whether it's belly rubs on the couch...(if allowed), or throwing their favorite toy until they're satisfied, there's simply "no place like home."
A. Whether your dog is showing any signs of misbehaving while your gone, (chewing, relieving in the house, excessive barking, fence jumping etc) or not, with daily walking you will see a difference in their outward happiness and general demeanor. It's health benefits are physical, mental and emotional. Dogs are meant to move freely on a daily basis; it's simply their makeup and if they are not allowed to have that daily forward motion, they are just not happy inside.
